Image analysis and computational resources are critical to the success of our imaging research projects. Micron has invested heavily in the provision of computational and data handling infrastructure for the storage, processing and analysis of microscopy data.
We have a fully equipped image analysis suite in New Biochemistry.
Our workstations are integrated with our data storage system and an OME database image database server.
The workstations are equipped with software including: ImageJ/FIJI, Arivis Vision 4D, Imaris, SoftWorx, Matlab.
Allows for the efficient handling of multidimensional data generated from several imaging modalities including light sheet, confocal and wide-field systems. The software is capable of easily rendering multi-terabtye datasets generated from microscopy experiments. Users can import image for visualisation, stitching, deconvolution and analysis in 3D and 4D.
OME is a consortium of universities, research labs, industry and developers producing open-source software and format standards for microscopy data. In Micron we are happy to assist users to use the OME system to store and catalogue their data according to best practice.
Micron develops software tools to aid microscopists to acquire high quality data as well as to analyse images. We are happy to help users get started with any of these tools.
