Zeiss LSM780 confocal

INVERTED CONFOCAL MICROSCOPE WITH INCUBATION CHAMBER

The Zeiss 780 is a multi-purpose  inverted laser scanning confocal microscope. The  microscope is equipped with a full incubation chamber including  temperature & CO2 control for live-cell imaging. For access please contact micron@bioch.ox.ac.uk.

Applications

  • Confocal microscopy on live and fixed cells and tissues.
  • Multi-point time-lapse imaging of living samples. 
  • Multi-channel XYZ fluorescence and transmitted light imaging modalities.
  • Motorized XY Stage, allowing large tiled images.
  • Optical sectioning for 3D imaging.
  • Spectral imaging, FRET, FRAP and co-localisation.

Specifications

  • Lasers lines: 405 nm (solid state), 458 nm (argon), 488 nm (argon), 514 nm (argon), 561 nm (diode), 639 nm (HeNe).
  • Objectives:  Zeiss 10x 0.5 NA Dry Plan Apochromat, 20x 0.8 NA Dry Plan Apochromat,  63x 1.2 NA Water C-Apochromat, 100x 1.4 NA Oil Plan-Apochromat, a 40x 1.2 NA Water C-Apochromat is available upon request from Micron.
  • Detectors: 32 channel GaAsp array and 2 PMTs.
  • Environmental control: temperature and gas.
